John possesses a unique combination of creative, emotional and analytical skills. John comes to Qualitative Research after 15 years as a Director of Software Engineering. Kristen Balisi, M.A.
Kristen has been paying close attention to words and the writing process for years. She knows that how you say something is just as important as what you say. A background in academia honed her skills: quickly absorbing large amounts of information, discerning patterns and key points, clearly structuring arguments based on evidence. Those years in the academic world also gave her a strong aversion to dry, fussy language that only serves to thwart real communication and understanding. She brings strong analysis and a direct, vibrant style to her report-writing so the answers to your business questions are grounded, comprehensible, and meaningful.
Liz Ezell, M.A.
Liz’s analysis and writing is guided by finding clarity amidst the details. The wealth of color and context provided by qualitative methods requires the kind of sorting, sifting, and careful attention to underlying meanings to reveal themes and patterns that her advanced social science training provides. Ever mindful of her audience, Liz’s goal is to then make those themes and patterns meaningful through engaging reports balancing clear, specific, and concise text with creative visuals to provide useful insights.
Colleen’s innate curiosity of people and their behaviors leads to her passion for discovering the “why” behind the “what”. In addition to her analytical background, Colleen is a RIVA trained moderator. She doesn’t just write reports and discussion guides; she uses this combination of skills to guide a conversation to the heart of the matter and uncover actionable insights. Colleen has honed these skills across a variety of industries including healthcare, restaurant & hospitality, CPG, and telecom among others.
